Looking for pet friendly accommodation in Ballina that truly welcomes your dog? At Ballina Byron Islander Resort, we understand pets are part of the family — that’s why we offer a limited number of dedicated pet friendly rooms for responsible dog owners.
These ground floor rooms are conveniently located, fitted with baby gates to ensure your dog stays within the designated tiled areas, and provide easy access to resort facilities and nearby dog-friendly parks and beaches.
Please Note:
- Only 3 pet friendly rooms available – must be booked in advance.
- Unavailable during peak/shoulder holiday periods (e.g. Christmas, Easter, School Holidays).
- Pet fee: $25 per stay.
- Refundable bond: $125 – returned if the room passes post-stay inspection.

Important Pet Policy Details
- Pets must not be on furniture, beds, carpet, or in the bathroom
- Dogs must remain in the tiled area only
- Dogs must be on a leash at all times in shared areas
- Dogs must not be left unattended
- You must clean up after your pet and use the designated bin near the portico
- Pet owners are responsible for any damage to the room or grounds
- A fee of $125 applies if a pet is taken into a non-pet-friendly room
If your dog cannot be comfortably confined to the tiled area, unfortunately, we cannot accommodate them.
